Out of it
Yesterday morning I was in the latrine shaving. There’s other people around me talking. Out of nowhere I hear ‘Wes… Wes… Wes’. It’s my commander. He says good morning. He gives me the normal ‘Hey, Good morning’ I explain to him that I wasn’t fully awake and apologized for not initially responding to him.
Tonight I was going through the salad bar and from next to me I begin to hear, ‘I see how it is, just act like you don’t even know me’. It was Lightning (NCOIC of the commo section). I told him it’s been one of those weeks. We chatted for a bit and went our separate ways.
I feel so lost and can’t tell up from down. I think I’ve lost my sanity.
