The highlight of my evening was when the commander sat down with us for chow. Initially I was like ‘fuck’ I just finished and I don’t want to wait for you but leaving would be more disrespectful. So we’re sitting down and he asks The PSG if he’s heard of the manamana song (The Muppets). He’s never heard of it and neither has the SSG sitting next to him. So he ask me. I reply with “like doo doo doo doo manamana”. Then our commander O-5, almost my dad’s age breaks out singing the song for a couple minutes. I had to use all my will to not burst out laughing. He’s finishes the song with saying, That’s been on my mind all day and I really haven’t been able to work around it.
